We are using an ongoing Fair Services Monitoring form to help us understand our customers needs and ensure that services are tailored to meet them. If you havent already completed a form, or your circumstances have changed, please complete a form and return it to us at the address on the back.
Translation Services
We have translation services to help ensure customer access to our full range of services . Our reception at The Rurals and our shops have posters displaying welcome messages in nine locally identified languages.
A telephone translation service is provided by Language Line, who have translators fluent in over 150 languages. We have special dual handset telephones at The Rurals and in our shops so that it is easier to have a three way conversation with the customer and translator.
Language2Language provide a document translation service on request and will deliver the translation within 4 working days, or less depending on the length of the document.
We also have volunteer staff who are able to provide some face to face services for the following langauges:
Sign language practitioners are available when needed, though some notice is usually required. We hope to have an internal practitioner shortly.
