Kevin Upton (Chair of the Board)
Kevin is the Assistant Director, Finance for a Registered Social Landlord in Staffordshire, which was also set up through transfer. He is professionally qualified as an accountant and is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.

He has extensive knowledge both of the social housing sector and commercial organisations. With excellent analytical skills, Kevin has experience of the preparation of business plans and corporate restructures

Sue Nicholls (Vice Chair of the Board, Equality & Diversity Champion)

Sue is an Independent Board Member. She has a diploma in law and advice and is the Director of Stafford and Stone Citizens Advice Bureau and has been a member of the Board since transfer (2006).

Sue is Vice Chair of the Board, Board Champion for equality and diversity, Chair of the Operations Committee, Vice Chair of the Human Resources and Equalities Committee and member of the Remuneration Committee.
Mike Stevenson (Chair of Audit Committee)

Mike is an Independent Board Member. He is a Relationship Director for the Lloyds TSB Public and Community Sector team in the North West and has a wealth of finance and banking experience, including development funding.

Mike is Chair of the Audit Committee and has been a Board Member since 2007.






Frances Beatty MBE JP

Frances is a Council nominee to the Board. She has vast experience of managing organisations, various funding streams and rural issues.

Frances is a member of the Audit Committee and has been a Board Member since 2007.




June Bradshaw

June is a Tenant who was elected to the Board in 2007. She has experience of Social Services, SARH tenant participation structures and local issues.

June is a member of Operations Committee.
Ann Draper

Ann is a Tenant who was elected to the Board in 2008. She has experience of SARH tenant participation structures and local issues.

Ann is a member of Human Resources & Equalities Committee and Remuneration Committee.
Jason Holder (Health & Safety Champion)

Jason is an Independent Board Member. He is an Assistant Director of Property Services at a Registered Social Landlord that was an LSVT and has been a member of the Board since transfer (2006).

Jason is Vice Chair of Operations Committee and Board Champion for health & safety.

Jack Kemp

Jack is a Council nominee to the Board. He has vast experience of managing organisations and understanding housing issues at both a strategic and local level and has been a Board Member since transfer (2006).

Jack is a former Chair of the Board. He is currently a member of the Audit Committee, Human Resources and Equalities Committee and Remuneration Committee

Ruth Knott (Performance Champion)

Ruth is a Tenant who was elected to the Board in 2006. She has experience of Human Resources, SARH tenant participation structures and local issues.

Ruth is Board Member Champion for Performance, and a member of Audit Committee, Operations Committee, Human Resources & Equalities Committee and Remuneration Committee.

Margaret Palphreyman

Margaret is a Tenant who was re-elected to the Board in 2008. She has experience of Local Government, SARH tenant participation structures and local issues.

Margaret is a member of Operations Committee.
Hester Parsons (Value for Money Champion)

Hester is a Long Term Observer to our Board. She was the Director of Primary and Community Services with Shropshire County Primary Trust before retiring in 2006.

Hestor is a Board Champion for value for money and is a member of Operations Committee.

Alan Perkins

Alan is a Council nominee to the Board. He has vast experience of managing organisations and understanding of housing issues at both a strategic and local level.

Alan is a member of Human Resources & Equalities Committee and Remuneration Committee and has been a Board Member since transfer (2006). 

Barry Stamp

Barry is a Council nominee to the Board. He has vast experience of managing organisations and understanding of housing issues at both a strategic and local level.

Barry is a member of Operations Committee and has been a Board Member since 2007.

Neil Tryner

Neil is an Independent Board Member. He is the Head of Business Development for large midlands based Registered Social Landlord. Neil has a Masters Degree in both Housing and Business Administration. He has knowledge of the Supporting People framework, developing client specific support for vulnerable groups, securing funding from external organisations and homelessness legislation.

Neil is a member of Operations Committee and has been a Board Member since transfer (2006).

Shirley Wheat (Complaints Champion)

Shirley is a Tenant who was re-elected to the Board in 2008. She has considerable experience of SARH tenant participation structures and local issues.

Shirley is the Board Champion for complaints. She is also a member of Operations Committee and has been a Board Member since transfer (2006).
