We will introduce our own easy-to-use complaints procedure so that all customers know how to make a complaint if they are dissatisfied with the service they receive

Commitments & Promises: Allocations

  • Stafford & Rural Homes will maintain a Housing Register for rented housing
     
  • Homeless applicants will have top priority
     
  • Whenever possible, an applicant will only be offered a tenancy in the area they request
     
  • Stafford & Rural Homes will participate in H.E.M.S. (the Housing and Employment Mobility Service)
     
  • Stafford & Rural Homes will assist tenants who want to exchange their homes - both within its own housing stock and with tenants of other landlords
     
  • Stafford & Rural Homes' Tenancy Agreement ignores any previous successions to the tenancy with the Council. This means that all transfering tenants have begun their Stafford and Rural tenancy with a potential right of succession
     
  • Stafford & Rural Homes will not charge a deposit to new tenants. If you had paid a deposit to the Council, it will either be refunded to you or, where you are in arrears, credited to your rent account
