Promises 7
Stafford & Rural Homes will produce individual support plans with all sheltered and "warden linked" tenants, agree with them the level of support they require, and negotiate improvements in care levels

Commitments & Promises: Leaseholders

  • Leaseholders will be consulted and must give consent prior to the introduction of new services and related charges.

  • We will not unreasonably refuse leaseholders the ability to opt out of a service

  • All tenants, including tenants who transferred from the Council, are able to buy their home under the Right to Acquire scheme, as long as you are eligible and meet the criteria

  • Leaseholders will be encouraged to take an active role in monitoring the standards of services they receive.

  • Copies of supporting invoices and repair orders for their flat blocks will be made available to leaseholders on request

  • A special Leaseholders handbook will be developed, in consultation with leaseholders, that would provide a range of information on maintenance, insurance, participation and consultation, and local contact details
