• Stafford & Rural Homes will have a rent collection policy aimed at maximising the collection of rent and minimising arrears
   
• Stafford & Rural Homes will have a dedicated team of officers to deal with rent and arrears issues.
   
• An agreement with the Council's Housing Benefit service will help to ensure all benefits are paid promptly.
   
• Staff will have training and resources to give advice about Welfare Benefits and offer debt-counselling assistance to people who have money problems, working in partnership with the Citizens' Advice Bureau
   
• Tenants will be offered equal monthly payments equal to the annual rent divided by 12
   
• Stafford & Rural Homes will continue to have four weeks when rent is not payable
