Homes First is our Choice Based Lettings (CBL) scheme. Anyone who wants to apply for a new home must register online – this includes customers who want to transfer from their current home.

CBL schemes differ from traditional lettings schemes in a number of ways including:

• Each week empty properties are advertised
• Applicants are actively involved in ‘bidding’ for their new home
• We provide feedback on who gets a property
• We can extend our scheme to include other social and private landlords within the borough
