Tenants and tenant groups across our area have had the opportunity to put forward suggestions for smaller-scale improvements in the areas where they live. Groups were invited to compete for the cash by submitting bids for work which would have wide social and environmental benefits for their communities and which would compliment the Association’s £60M improvement programme.
Following the announcing of the successful bids at a meeting of representatives from the groups involved, Karen Armitage, Chief Executive of Stafford and Rural Homes, said “I am delighted at the response by our residents to this scheme, which has made an unprecedented level of funding available for work that local people want for their local areas. It’s part of our company vision to listen to and empower local communities by working in partnership to make our estates and rural areas attractive and safe to live in. This is a great example of our desire to help meet the needs of our residents in a very inclusive way.”
Details of the approved schemes will appear here shortly.
