The Tenants and Residents Federation
What is Stafford Tenants and Residents Federation?
Its a developing organisation that represents tenants and residents Borough-wide. The Federation meets monthly and meetings last for about two hours. These meetings give tenants a chance to meet people from other estates and areas of the Borough, and provide an opportunity to share ideas and information about helping to building better and more inclusive communities.
Its aims are:
- To act as a collective voice to represent tenants and residents views throughout the Borough of Stafford
- To exercise a responsible influence over the development of policies and procedures with Stafford and Rural Homes
- To challenge unfair and unjust practices
- To monitor services and work with the landlord to highlight and help to implement service improvements

The Federation supports the Sheltered Housing Alliance, a group bringing together many sheltered housing scheme tenant groups. The Alliance meets on a regular basis to consider issues related specifically to elderly tenants, and to promote a social and healthy life for those whom is represents.
