Telecare Services
The You First Telecare Service provides home safety and personal security systems for the elderly and vulnerable customers in Stafford Borough and South Staffordshire; enabling them to live independently within their own homes. The service offers peace of mind and reassurance to both those using the service and their families knowing that help is only a touch of a button away.
How it works
• An alert is made by pressing the button on the unit or the pendant.
• A call is raised at the Customer Call Centre, where trained operatives answer the call.
• Operators will then take the most appropriate action for the call and this could be by contacting a relative or friend, doctor or the emergency services.
Installation
We offer a free demonstration where a Telecare Co-Ordinator will visit your home and complete a personal assessment and show you have the equipment works. If you are happy with the system the engineer can install the equipment on the day.
Charges
The cost for the equipment is £4.99 (excluding VAT) per week for the pendant and the unit itself, with free installation.
What do you need?
- A telephone socket and an electrical socket in close proximity
- Two local key holders who can be contacted in an emergency and/or a keysafe.
Enhanced Telecare Sensors
Our range of enhanced Telecare sensors monitor risks, hazards and environmental conditions, triggering a call to the Customer Call Centre if the alarms are activated. All of these can be installed in conjunction with the basic Telecare package.
Sensors available are:
- Falls Detector
- Bed sensor to monitor absence from bed or chair between specified times
- Flood detectors
- Smoke detectors
- Gas detectors
- Heat detectors
- Epilepsy sensor
- Intruder alarms
- Property exit sensors
