Stafford and Rural Homes’ Web Site has just achieved the top W3C AAA status for Accessibility, only six months after going live.
Dave Wilkins, Business Development Manager, said:
“We are delighted to have achieved this recognition so quickly and that this means our customers with special needs should find the site very easy to use, no matter which internet browser they have. Users with visual impairment are able to view the site in text only, larger font and high contrast formats, and can download a screen reader that literally reads out the site content.
Customers can already report repairs and comment on, compliment or complain about our services online, as well as access a wealth of information about Stafford and Rural Homes, the services we can provide, and particularly how our customers can participate in setting our policies and performance targets.”
Holmcroft tenant, Peggy Sparrow, said “The website is very user friendly. I reported a repair for my neighbour using the online form and it worked beautifully. My neighbour got a phone call the following morning giving all the information she needed. The work was done on time and she’s very happy.”
We are now working towards online rents payments, housing applications and job applications. Watch this space for news!
