Customers that leave all surfaces, windows, skirting boards and flooring clean, remove all furniture that didn’t come with the property, and empty all their cupboards could receive the £50 reward.
Amanda Nicklin, housing choices manager, said: “If properties are left in a good condition it means we can make them available for people looking for a home much quicker.
“This new incentive scheme has been introduced to thank customers that help us in this process.”
To be eligible for the reward customers must also meet the following criteria:
• Give four weeks’ notice of your tenancy termination or two weeks’ notice if you are transferring to another SARH property.
• Have a clear rent account.
• Have no outstanding repairs.
• Have no outstanding gas and electricity bills.
• Allow people to view the property during the last four weeks of their tenancy.
