Stafford and Rural Homes has delivered one of the promises made to tenants when the housing stock was transferred from the Council in February 2006. Its brand new Housing Advice shop has opened in Crown Court Yard, just off the High Street.
The shop will showcase homes, garages and shops to let and boasts free internet access and use of office computer programs, such as word processing and spreadsheets, for customers.
Tenants and prospective tenants can visit Jenny and Caroline at the shop to apply for housing, report repairs, access general housing advice and much more! Customers will also be able to pay their rent in the shop, by using credit or debit cards. Cash will not be accepted. Staff will also help customers to register for our new online payment service or discuss how payments can be made by telephone.
The “official opening” of the shop will be at 10:30am on Monday 2 April 2007, when customers are invited to meet staff and help us celebrate another promise delivered to our tenants.
Karen Armitage, Chief Executive of Stafford and Rural Homes, said
“We are delighted to be opening the first of our advice shops in Stone – a major part of our commitment to a customer-centred approach to delivering top quality services. The people of Stone and the surrounding rural communities can be assured that we are committed to serving them all, and this shop gives customer access for over 1000 tenants in and around the town.
We hope to be opening a second shop in Stafford town centre before the summer and our new mobile office will be visiting rural areas beginning in April – bringing our services to our customers – as promised”.

Tuesday 1:00pm - 4:30pm
Wednesday Closed
Thursday: 9:00am – 12:30pm
