We have been hard at work delivering the Improvement promises made to tenants at the time of the transfer from the Borough Council in 2006
In the Spring, work will be starting on the Highfields estate and in the villages of Adbaston, Bromstead, Church Eaton, Forton, Derrington, Gnosall, Haughton, High Offley, Knightley, Moreton, Norbury, Ranton, and Woodseaves
All tenants have been invited to one of our consultation events, to discuss plans for works to bring their homes up to the Government’s “Decent Homes Standard” and beyond. This will include replacement of kitchens, bathrooms, new high security front and rear doors, new heating systems and much more.
At these events, tenants can also meet staff from other housing services, see how to pay their rent or service charges online, follow the stages of a repair from when it is ordered, and talk to staff confidentially. A large map of their estates will also give the opportunity for tenants and their families to comment on issues where they live and suggest improvements to the environment.
The events are being held as follows:
Tuesday 26 February 5pm - 8pm
Grove Primary School, Highfields
Saturday 1 March 9.30am - 4pm
Grove Primary School, Highfields
Friday 14 March 2pm - 6pm
Woodseaves Village hall
Face painters (all three dates) and a magician (Saturday only) will be on hand, and it is hoped that a games console will be available from one of our local stores to entertain older children
On Wednesday 5 March 2008, the mobile office will visit Haughton from 8:00am to 12 noon, and Gnosall (The Impstones) from 2:00pm to 6:00pm for those who are unable to attend these events.
This is a real opportunity for tenants to be involved in the planning of works on their estates and for their homes, and see the quality of the equipment to be fitted. If you have any questions about the event or the work to take place, please call our Customer Services Centre on 0800 111 4554.
