Stafford and Rural Homes

We work in partnership with The Furniture Exchange in Stafford to help give access to affordable, quality furniture and electrical goods for those tenants who get benefits, Tax Credits or Pension Credits. 

The Exchange has been working with many partners since 1996 and is supported by the Borough Council, Stafford and Rural Homes and other organisations.

We are a "referral agent" for the Exchange, which means that we can put you in contact with them if you need furniture, soft furnishings or kitchen electrical items like washing machines and fridges.  Just let us know when you sign for your tenancy, or if you start receiving benefits and are in need.  All items are delivered to your door!

You can also donate unwanted items to The Furniture Exchange!  They do not charge for collection, but donations are always welcome.

The Exchange is always on the lookout for volunteers to help them collect and deliver items.  Any offer of at least three hours per week will be gratefully accepted.  Training, protective clothing and out of pocket expenses are provided.  Click to see a leaflet about volunteering (PDF).
