Protecting People
We will do all that we can to protect customers and their families from abuse. If we suspect that a vulnerable person (adult or child) is being abused or neglected we will take action.
A vulnerable person is anyone who cannot protect themselves without support. This could include:
- Older people who are dependent on others to provide their care
- Children and young people
- People with learning disability
- People with mental health needs
- People with physical disability
- People who misuse alcohol or other substances
Anyone, male or female, young or old, straight or gay may experience violence or abuse at any time during their life.
Abuse can take many different forms including physical, sexual, social, emotional or financial.
If you or someone you know is being harmed in any way there are organisations that can help you. Please contact us and we will put you in touch will someone that can help. If you or a member of your family is in immediate danger you should contact the Police.
If we have any reason suspect that a child might be at risk we will work with our partner agencies to ensure their safety and well being.
