Clothes collection for hospice
Kind-hearted Stafford and Rural Homes customers living at Lichfield Court have been busy collecting clothes to help fund nursing care at a local hospice.
Together they collected 15 bags of clothes, with each bag equating to three hours of nursing care at Katharine House.
Lichfield Court in Stafford is one of 19 Independent Living schemes run by the housing association and customers living there were keen to support the hospice’s fund raising efforts.
Cath Hendy, Independent Living Co-ordinator at Lichfield Court, explained: “To collect so many bags of clothes was a fantastic effort from all involved and it shows how keen our customers are to support the wider community.”
Kate Sharp, Retail Director at Katharine House, added: “We are extremely grateful for this kind donation. The residents of Lichfield Court can be assured that every bag of second hand clothes we have received will be turned into first class care at Katharine House.”
