AGM set for Thursday 20 September

Stafford and Rural Homes held its Annual General Meeting on Thursday 20 September 2018.

This year’s event was entitled ‘There’s No Place Like Home’. The AGM provided the opportunity for SARH customers and partners to reflect on the organisation’s achievements and plans for the future, whilst recognising the efforts of staff and customers during the past year through a number of awards and presentations.

Good Neighbour Award

Each year SARH recognises a special customer for their efforts to build a sense of community spirit by presenting them with a special award at the AGM.

As part of its commitment to providing employment and learning opportunities for young people, SARH recognises the achievements of its apprentices at the AGM.

At each AGM, SARH names a staff member who has strongly demonstrated the company values throughout the past 12 months as its Ambassador of the Year.

Past AGMs

2018: There's No Place Like Home
The 2018 AGM was held on Thursday, 20th September, with the theme 'There's No Place Like Home'. SARH Chief Executive, Karen Armitage introduced a short feature film which highlighted the on-going success of award-winning allotment schemes, to projects aimed at tackling rural loneliness and isolation, whilst featuring SARH staff dressed as leading characters from a class movie.

2016: Delivering in a Changing World
SARH hosted its 2016 AGM showcase on Thursday, 15th September. With the theme Delivering in a Changing World, Chief Executive Karen Armitage introduced the new SARH Corporate Plan, which sets out Stafford and Rural Homes’ plans for the future in the face of unprecedented challenges.
