Established in October 2012, Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) trading subsidiary Housing Worx goes from strength to strength.
Acknowledged as one of Stafford’s leading independent contractors with a turnover of circa £6 million, Housing Worx carries out a wide range of high quality home improvement and maintenance works for commercial clients including 6,000 homes on behalf of SARH.
These works include replacement kitchens, bathrooms and internal doors, electrical testing and re-wiring, cyclical painting, structural works, hard standings for parking and footpaths, cleaning and refurbishment for residential and commercial voids and work on properties that SARH buys back from former owner-occupiers.
Delivering all ranges of aids and adaptations from single grab rail to full level access showers and wet rooms, this has become an area of expertise for the business having delivered installations worth £1.2m to date.
In three and a half years, Housing Worx has installed 523 kitchens, 460 bathrooms and replaced doors in 1059 homes achieving 98% customer satisfaction in 2014-15.
Keeping customers informed
Customers are particularly impressed that Housing Worx makes sure they are kept up to date about the nature of the work it will be doing and when it will happen.
The response by SARH customer Mrs Owen of Stafford is typical of the feedback Housing Worx has received. She said:
“I am so pleased with my new bathroom. It is so modern and the electric shower is a pleasure. The fitters worked very hard and were clean and tidy. Thank you to Housing Worx for a lovely job. Well done.”
