Excellent staff feedback gives SARH a ‘world class’ employee engagement score of 91 per cent

STAFF at Stafford and Rural Homes have given the organisation a ‘world class’ score for its engagement with employees. 

 Feedback from an independent survey of SARH staff by employee engagement specialists People Insight Ltd gave the housing association a score of 91 percent for employee engagement – this is 15 per cent above the benchmark for organisations taking the survey.

 The results also showed that 90 percent of staff are proud to work for SARH, 97 percent care about the future of the organisation and 92 per cent of staff said working for SARH made them want to do they best they could in their job.

 One of the comments from the staff survey said: “The best thing about working for SARH is not due to one thing – it’s a combination of great people, a very good working environment, and actually seeing the difference your role makes to the customers we work for and behalf of”.

 Karen Armitage, Chief Executive of Stafford and Rural Homes, said: “The results show that our staff want to do a great job for SARH despite all the pressures of the uncertain economic conditions in the country at the moment.”

 “Ensuring that SARH is a great organisation to work for is really important to us. By making sure every employee feels well respected, involved, heard, well-led and valued we hope to retain a motivated and dedicated workforce that is focused on delivering the best possible service to our customers.”

 “We will now use the results to look at ways we can continue building a strong relationship with staff in the year ahead.”

 Following the results of the 2010 survey SARH has worked hard to improve staff engagement by providing more training and development opportunities and holding regular one-to-one meetings between staff and managers.

 Emma Young, SARH’s HR Business Partner, said: “Feedback from our staff is crucial to helping SARH improve and grow and I’m pleased that the results of the most recent survey have produced such a positive outcome.

 “For our results to be described as world class shows the high quality of standards we are working to.”
