If I am eligible for Voluntary Right to Buy, will I be able to buy the home I am living in now?
As long as you meet the eligibility criteria and your home is included in the Pilot by Stafford and Rural Homes, you will be able to buy your home. If your home is excluded, you will be given an opportunity to use your discount to buy an alternative property belonging to SARH, as defined by the Portability Statement within the SARH Voluntary Right to Buy Policy or one of our partner housing associations. This is called ‘porting’ your discount. Please note, only 1 offer to purchase an alternative property will be made.
