What is Voluntary Right to Buy (Midlands Pilot)?

Voluntary Right to Buy (VRTB) is a scheme for eligible tenants to buy their home at the same discount level as council tenants have under the Right to Buy. This is a Pilot for the scheme to allow the Government to test how it works. Stafford and Rural Homes, along with nearly 50 housing associations in the Midlands, is taking part. There is no confirmation at this stage regarding when the scheme will be rolled out nationally.
