What do I require in my home to have Telecare installed?

You will require an operating telephone line and a power supply within 2 meters of the telephone point.
If you do not have a telephone line, we may be able to install a SIM card powered unit, subject to suitability.

The cost of having a telephone line installed will vary between providers, but British Telecom (BT) usually charge new customers a £150 fee. This charge needs to be covered by you.

Installation includes a full person-centred assessment. We may be able to signpost you to additional agencies who can help you remain independent at home.

The coordinator will be with you for about an hour, completing the assessment, installing your equipment and completing several test calls to ensure you understand the use of the alarm and how it works.
