What should I do if I have lost my keys and can’t get in to my home?

If you lose your keys and cannot get in to your home, contact SARH on 0800 111 4554. Lost key call-outs are chargeable.

Failure to pay a call-out charge will result in further action being taken against you and may have an impact on any future tenancy with SARH.

SARH want to help customers avoid unnecessary call-out and replacement charges where possible with some simple tips.

  • Have you thought about leaving a set of keys with a relative or someone you trust?
If you are ever locked out, you could give them a call to let you back in.
  • You could have a secure key safe fitted at your home.
This is a secure box with keypad access to a spare set of keys.
  • Check your Home Contents Insurance cover.
Some Home Contents Insurance, such as the National Housing Federation My Home scheme recommended by SARH, covers lost or stolen keys as standard.
