Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) maintains a stock of approximately 1600 site garages, which are mostly located adjacent to SARH owned properties in various parts of the Borough.
If you would like to rent a garage from SARH please complete a Garage Application form. We recommend that you read all of the information below before applying.
All vacant garages that are not subject to a waiting list are listed here.

These garages benefit from a new roof.
There are waiting lists for many garages. Applications will be prioritised by date and in the following order:
- Stafford and Rural Homes tenants & leaseholders who are in receipt of the Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance
- Other Stafford and Rural Homes tenants & leaseholders
- Other applicants in receipt of the Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance
- Other applicants
If you refuse three offers in an area you have chosen, no further offers will be made and your application will be cancelled.
There is no limit on how many garages customers can rent. However if you wish to rent more than 2, rent for the third and subsequent garages will be charged at a higher rate.
The tenant of a site garage can exchange with another site garage tenant by mutual consent with the agreement of SARH.
If a garage or plot is already vacant it must be offered to those on the waiting list before an existing tenant will be allowed to exchange.
Tenants and leaseholders of Stafford and Rural Homes are charged £8.01 per week. This increases to £10.68 per week for the third and subsequent garages.
Non tenants and leaseholders of Stafford and Rural Homes are charged £10.68 per week.
Rent is reviewed annually.
Applicants who have any outstanding debt to SARH will not be allocated a garage until the debt has been cleared.
