Hall Close men grow a ‘tache for cash

FUNDRAISERS from Silkmore have enjoyed a hair-raising experience – growing moustaches for charity.

Ken Baker, Brian Wright and John Wakefield raised £200 for the Everyman prostate cancer charity after being sponsored to grow moustaches during ‘Movember’.

All three fundraisers live in Stafford and Rural Homes’ apartments at Hall Close and their efforts were supported by SARH independent living co-ordinator Paul Buckley and Joshua Rickers from SARH’s IT department.

“We’ve all been working hard to perfect our moustaches over the month to raise awareness about Everyman and the great work they do. I think we’ve all had our fair share of funny looks, but it’s been worth it for such a good cause,” said Paul.

John and Paul also dyed their moustaches in the blue of the charity before a local hairdresser shaved them off.
