Hospice children receive Easter treat from SARH
Children at a hospice have received an Easter delivery from SARH. Youngsters at the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust were visited by the Easter bunny who helped to deliver chocolate eggs donated by staff SARH.
“The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust is our nominated charity this year and we wanted to do something that would help to make this Easter a bit more special for the children,” said Karen Armitage, Chief Executive of SARH.
“Our staff collected over X eggs for the children and I hope the Easter bunny’s visit helped put a smile on their faces.”
SARH is a charitable landlord with over 5600 homes in the Stafford Borough.
As part of SARH’s commitment to supporting the local community each year the organisation nominates a local charity and holds a number of fundraising activities to help raise money them.
The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust provides a range of specialist care and support services for children with a shortened life expectancy and their families from its purpose-built house ‘Treetops’ in Trentham.
The Hospice provides care for children between 0-19 years old from Staffordshire and South Cheshire.
“We are very grateful to SARH for their Easter Eggs donation and for offering their fundraising support to the hospice this year,” said Melanie Mills, Director of Fundraising and Public Relations for The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust.
“We rely on voluntary donations to raise the £2 million needed every year to continue the vital work we do. Quite simply, we would not exist without the support of local organisations and the public.”
