Love your garden this summer to win blooming great prizes
A Stafford Housing Association is urging customers with green fingers to take part in their gardening competition this summer for the chance to win some great prizes and an invitation to an awards ceremony.
Now in its fourth year, the gardening competition is open to all Stafford and Rural Homes customers and with five categories to enter, there is an opportunity for everyone to get involved.
The competition has proved very popular in the past with over 60 customers entering and hoping to win one of the prizes.
Customers can enter the best garden (front or back garden) and best communal garden categories and the winners will take home £75 in shopping vouchers and runners up prizes are also up for grabs.
There are also awards for the best hanging basket/container or window box, and best vegetable garden/allotment. Winners in these categories will receive £50 in vouchers and a certificate of appreciation.
The youngest gardener of the year will also win a prize again if they are under 18 years old and submit a winning entry into any of the five categories.
Karen Armitage, Chief Executive at Stafford and Rural Homes said, “We know that many of our customers take real pride in their gardens and therefore we wanted to find a way to say thank you for helping to make neighbourhoods more attractive for the whole community.
“The gardening competition really has become extremely popular with many of our customers working hard to create beautiful gardens to be proud of and I look forward to seeing many entries again this year. If you are interested in becoming a customer judge this year, we would love to hear from you.”
The categories customers can enter are:-
• The best front garden
• The best back garden
• The best communal garden
• The best hanging basket, container or window box
• The best vegetable/allotment garden
