New development manager joins SARH

Posted on 5th July 2013

STAFFORD and Rural Homes (SARH) has welcomed a new Development Manager to oversee an ambitious programme to build more affordable homes in Stafford Borough.

Harpreet Rayet, 29, joins SARH having previously contracts manager for Aspire Housing for over two years.

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to head up Stafford and Rural Homes development programme to help address the pressing need for more social and affordable homes in Stafford Borough,” said Harpreet Rayet, who lives in Stone.

“Having lived in Staffordshire and worked extensively in the housing sector in the West Midlands in recent years I hope the knowledge and experience I bring to role will be a real asset to SARH.”

Amongst the main projects Harpreet takes on are the completion of a £3.3million project to create 30 new homes at Lowfield Lane in Gnosall and the £1.3million project to create 14 new homes at Priory Road in Stone.

“Harpreet joins SARH at an exciting time as we complete our new homes and aim to develop a further 214 affordable rural homes over the next three years in partnership with Housing Plus,” said Karen Armitage, Chief Executive of SARH.

Harpreet replaces Alison Hayward, who leaves SARH to fulfil her lifetime ambition of moving to Devon, where she will manage a coastal regeneration project.
