Open days highlight scheme improvements
A PUBLIC celebration is being held to mark a £75,000 refurbishment at Impstones Independent Living Scheme in Gnosall.
The public is invited to come and see improvements made to Stafford and Rural Homes scheme at Impstones, from 12pm to 2pm on Wednesday, December 7.
A revamp of the community centre at Impstones included a new kitchen, new disabled toilet facilities, new lounge furniture, new UPVC rear door and new automatic hardwood entrance door.
Other improvements included new paving and painted fascias, soffits, UPVC gutters and downpipes to the bungalows.
“The improvements made to Impstones not only make the scheme look nicer they will also help to improve the quality of life our customers who live there,” said Barbara Miller, SARH Independent Living Co-ordinator at Impstones.
“The facilities we offer help customers to maintain their independence as they get older by providing a safe and comfortable place to live. Our open day will allow us to share the improvements we’ve made with the local community.”
The improvements made to Impstones are part of a £1.58million improvement programme to SARH’s 15 Independent Living Schemes across the borough of Stafford.
An open day to showcase the improvements made at the Hall Close Independent Living Scheme, in Silkmore, will also take place on Tuesday December 6, from 2.30pm to 5pm.
