SARH annual report shortlisted in regional awards
SARH is one of six housing associations nominated in the ‘Excellence in Annual Reports’ category in the central region of the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) awards.
“A team made up of customers, staff and a design consultancy make our annual report possible and its testament to their hard work and dedication that we have been nominated for this important award,” said Karen Armitage, SARH Chief Executive.
The ‘Excellence in Annual Reports’ award is a new category in the TPAS awards, which aim to reward social housing providers, tenants and contractors that help make communities safer and more desirable places to live.
SARH’s annual report explains to customers how well the organisation has delivered its services over the last 12 months, therefore the housing association wanted to put customers at the heart of its production.
“The annual report is for our customers and has to be something customers want to read,” said Karen Marshall, Business Services Manager for SARH.
“To achieve this we gave customers with a range of different experience and knowledge the chance to have a say in what it looks like, the content, and its budget. This ensures it is written in a style that is easy to understand and includes information and photographs that are relevant.”
SARH was formed in 2006 and owns and manages more than 5,600 homes formerly owned by Stafford Borough Council in Stafford Borough.
The TPAS Central Regional Awards will take place on Friday, March 30, at the St John’s Hotel in Birmingham.
Winners from the central region will be put forward to a national award final along with fellow winners from the Northern and Southern Regional Finals.
