SARH bosses go back to the floor with frontline staff

Posted on 14th October 2011

MANAGERS and directors at a Stafford housing association joined their staff on the frontline to see how they are helping customers across the borough.

Stafford and Rural Homes bosses spent time working with plumbers, gas engineers, care workers, call centre staff and other teams across the organisation as part of National Customer Services Week.

“We really wanted to use this as an opportunity to show that everyone at SARH is committed to putting customers first,” said Craig Taylor, Head of Customer Services for SARH.

SARH has shown its commitment to customer service by redesigning its website in response to customer feedback.

A recent survey carried out by SARH also shows that 99 per cent of customers were satisfied with the repairs service.

One of the management team that took part in going ‘back to the floor’ was Head of Business Services Karen Marshall, who spent an afternoon on call outs with repairs first trade staff.

“This was a really good opportunity to see first hand how our appointments system works and the sort of work that our Repairs First team carries out,” said Karen Marshall.

“One of our aims is to complete repairs in just one visit, so it was interesting to see how we achieve this, given the variety of jobs carried out and the range of materials needed.”

National Customer Service Week ran from October 3 to 7.
