SARH employees take time out to boost their health
Employees at Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) have been taking the opportunity to check their health and discover new ways to improve their lifestyle during a special event at the housing association’s headquarters in Parker Court, Stafford.
During the ‘Ready, Steady, Fit’ session they also competed in a hand-eye coordination challenge alongside a health ‘MOT’ that included blood pressure and BMI tests.
Many also took up the chance for a break from helping others to enjoy a relaxing mini-massage or a bite to eat from a Healthy Snack Stop stocked with healthy snacks donated by ASDA.
Jo Hough, Director of Organisational Development at SARH, explained: “We’ve always recognised that the health and wellbeing of our employees is vital to delivering the best possible service to customers.
“Events such as this help us to make sure that they have access to the best support we can offer as well as contributing to our reputation as one of the best companies to work for in the social housing sector.”
SARH has been ranked the top housing association in the Sunday Times 100 Best Not-for-Profit Companies to Work For list and placed second overall.
“Most importantly, encouraging all our employees to be ‘the best they can be’ helps us to attract and retain the very best people while creating a fantastic workplace.”
