SARH get funny for money for Comic Relief

Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) residents are getting funny for money with a fundraising event for Comic Relief.

Independent Living Schemes from Oxleathers Court and Shakespeare Road, in Stafford and Impstones, in Gnosall, are coming together for a day of laughs on Red Nose Day this Friday (15 March).

Oxleathers Independent Living Co-ordinator Paul Buckley is having his legs waxed for charity. There’ll be a guess the weight of the red nose cake competition, a fish and chip lunch, raffle and all the residents will be wearing something red – including their red button alert pendants!

“It seemed like a great opportunity to bring together residents from different schemes for a social event and raise cash for a good cause at the same time,” said Paul Buckley.

“I’ve asked colleagues at SARH to sponsor me to have my legs which will be done in full public view. I’m sure that will be enough to raise a few smiles.
