SARH holds a day of fundraising for Greenhall Nursery
GENEROUS staff at Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) have held a day of fundraising to raise £234 for a centre providing support for pre-school children with a range of learning and physical disabilities and their families.
Greenhall Nursery and Key Learning Centre runs a range of unfunded extra services for disabled children and families in Stafford and SARH has chosen to support the centre as its nominated charity for 2013/14.
Several events to raise the cash were held at SARH’s head office, on Staffordshire Technology Park, on Thursday, April 18, including a room where staff could make a donation for a personal health check, looking at their blood pressure, cholesterol and Body Mass Index.
A range of health and wellbeing information was also available for those who took part.
Staff volunteers also ran a car park car wash and a dress down day in return for donations.
“Our staff have really got behind the fundraising efforts for this fantastic local charity and I’m delighted that our fundraising day was such a success,” said Jo Hough, Head of Organisational Development for SARH.
“We have a number of other events planned to raise money throughout the year and if possible we want to raise over £2000 to support the range of invaluable services the nursery offers in the local community.”
After the first month of fundraising SARH has already raised £1420 for the nursery.
