SARH launches their third Learing Programme for customers

FREE lessons in feng shui and writing a CV are being offered to Stafford and Rural Homes’ customers.

SARH has launched the training courses to help customers expand their horizons and find employment.

“We really hope these new skills will make a difference to our customers’ lives whether this is helping them to get a new job or pursue a particular passion they might have,” said SARH chief executive Karen Armitage,

SARH staff, customers, and partners are running the training courses at a variety of venues from the SARH head office, at the Rurals, to the Community Resource Centre at Greyfriars. The lessons are open to anyone regardless of experience or ability.

Samina Arshad, customer participation officer for SARH, said: “We are committed to offering training opportunities that are accessible to all, are enjoyable and provide useful life skills.

“Our new customer learning programme is full of new and exciting courses and we are really keen to get new customers involved that have never taken part in our courses before. Remember, you are never too old or too young to learn.”

Since the Customer Learning Programme was launched in 2008 SARH has put on more than 60 courses with almost 600 customers attending lessons in everything from IT for beginners to DIY around the house.

Two customers who took part were Anne and Steve Hubbard and they went on to run their own courses in reiki and family history.

Samina Arshad, said: “Our courses are all free to attend and offer our customers the chance to improve their employment credentials, build on existing skills or just meet new friends.”
