SARH offers £100,000 to improve local community

Posted on 20th March 2012

STAFFORD and Rural Homes (SARH) has set aside £100,000 to help improve neighbourhoods in the borough.

Residents are being offered the chance to bid for a share of the money that can be spent on making a positive difference within the area.

“This scheme is a prime example of how we are helping to make a real difference that benefits everyone within the community” said SARH Chief Executive Karen Armitage.

Groups of ten or more people are invited to bid for money that can be used for:

• An event or project that helps to build community spirit.
•Projects that create a cleaner and safer local environment.
•Schemes that support the elderly and other vulnerable people in the community.
•Initiatives that reduce vandalism or fear of crime.

SARH is a registered charity that owns and manages 5,600 homes in Stafford. It is committed to investing in the sustainability of the local economy and environment as well as the success of neighbourhoods and communities.

If you have an idea for a project that could benefit SARH customers and others in your local community, and have 10 people who are willing to sign up to support it, then SARH would like to hear from you. At least one person needs to be a customer of SARH.

The closing date for applications is Friday, 27 April. To apply for more information please call John Allen or Lesley Hanlon on 0800 111 4554 or visit sarhomes.wpengine.com
