SARH offers support to job hunters

Posted on 1st February 2012

A COURSE to help job hunters brush up their CV writing and interview skills is being held in Silkmore.

Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) has organised a free session offering advice on how to make your CV stand out from the crowd and how to wow potential employers in an interview, at Silkmore Children’s Centre, on Tuesday, February 28, from 11am to 4pm.

The course is part of SARH’s Community Learning Programme 2012 which offers a range of free courses to the public throughout the year.

SARH offers further help to those looking for work with a weekly job club at SARH’s Community Resource Centre, in Greyfriars, every Wednesday from 10am to 12pm.

SARH is a partner in the delivery of a second job club for residents of Penkside, run by employment support charity Stafford Works, at Shire Hall Library, every Tuesday from 10am to 12pm.

Both job clubs are supported by Stafford Borough Council, Staffordshire County Council and Job Centre Plus.

“Helping people to get into work or take the next step in their career is important for the borough and we will continue to offer help and support so local people can achieve their employment ambitions,” said Karen Armitage, Chief Executive of SARH.

For more information on the course or job club please contact the SARH Community Involvement Team on 0800 111 4554 or visit the SARH website sarhomes.wpengine.com.
