SARH opens consultation on tenancy agreements

Posted on 13th September 2013

Stafford and Rural Homes is seeking feedback on proposed changes to its agreements with customers.

SARH has launched a consultation on the changes to its tenancy agreement, which outlines the rights and responsibilities of SARH tenants and SARH’s obligations as a landlord.

“We are really keen to involve our customers in the tenancy agreement review to ensure it continues to clearly explain what we must do for our tenants as the social landlord and what we require from them to sustain their tenancy,” said Andy Crowson, Neighbourhoods Manager for SARH.

“The current tenancy agreement has been in place since the transfer of housing stock from Stafford Borough Council to SARH in 2006.  This review will make sure it remains up to date and fit for purpose to protect tenant’s rights.”

From September 11 SARH tenants will receive a preliminary notice of the proposed changes to the tenancy agreement and have 28 days to return a feedback form with a freepost addressed envelope.

Tenants can also email with their comments to tenancyagreement@sarhomes.staging.wpengine.com  or call SARH on Freephone 0800 111 4554 by 11 October 2013.
