SARH strikes Gold again in health and Safety Awards
Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) is celebrating after securing a prestigious health and safety accolade for its sustained commitment to the wellbeing of employees, customers and contractors.
The housing association is set to receive a RoSPA President’s Award after securing 11 consecutive Gold Medals for its health and safety practices.
The awards recognise achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement and are the longest-running of their type in the UK, receiving entries from organisations around the world.
SARH will be presented with the award during a ceremony at ExCeL, London later this month and Lisa McCaulder, Health and Safety Consultant at SARH, said it reflects the organisation’s commitment to put the wellbeing of employees, customers and contractors at the heart of all its operations.
“The ongoing success in the RoSPA Awards reflects the long-term mission SARH has to create great places to live, work and grow and recognises that SARH is constantly striving to build an even safer working environment,” Lisa said.
Karen Armitage, SARH Chief Executive, commented: “This sustained commitment to health and safety excellence wouldn’t be possible without the support of all our employees and these awards are a fitting tribute to their hard work.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards have become the key fixture in the health and safety calendar with new sponsors and new awards this year including the Leisure Safety Awards, the Safe@Work Safe@Home Award and the Inspiration Awards. Highly-respected, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, RoSPA award winners benefit from the wide-ranging rewards of improved sector reputation.”
The majority of awards are non-competitive and mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Gold medals, president’s awards, orders of distinction and the Patron’s Award are presented to organisations sustaining the high standards of the gold level over consecutive years.
