SARH success at TSA Crystal Awards

STAFFORD and Rural Homes is celebrating a double success at a major national awards ceremony recognising the UK’s best telecare service providers.

Sarah Wyke, Head of Independent Living and Customer Services for SARH, won the ‘Professional of the Year’ category in the Telecare Services Association (TSA) Crystal Awards.

Sarah has been pivotal in developing the telecare operations for SARH into a TSA platinum accredited service with more than 10,000 customers to its 24-hour Customer Call centre.

Sarah was also recently elected as a Non-Executive Director of the TSA board to help improve Telecare and Telehealth services for customers across the country.

“It is an honour to win this prestigious industry award.  This success is not just for me, it is also a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone in my team and continued efforts to improve the lives of our customers,” said Sarah Wyke.

SARH was also shortlisted in the ‘Enhancing Lives Through Technology Enabled Services’ category.

“The board of SARH and I and are extremely proud of Sarah and this award epitomises her professional approach to the work she leads,” said Karen Armitage, Chief Executive of SARH.

“I’m also delighted that the SARH telecare team is achieving national recognition for its fantastic work which has seen it evolve into one of the flagship services of its kind in the country, helping give thousands of older or vulnerable customers the added security and reassurance to live more independent lives.”

SARH Lifeline system and Telecare home safety equipment connects customers to its 24-hour Customer Call centre.

The equipment – such as motion sensors that can detect when a resident has fallen, and gas and fire monitors that trigger an emergency alarm – helps people live independently in their own homes.

The awards were presented at the TSA’s annual conference in Birmingham.
