SARH to expand community involvement team

A TEAM which organises and supports positive community projects is being expanded by a Stafford housing association.

Stafford and Rural Homes is looking to take on a new member in its Community Involvement Team on a year long placement.

“We’ve decided to increase the size of our Community Involvement Team because we are committed to supporting local people and organisations which help make Stafford borough a better place to live and work,” said Lesley Walker, Neighbourhoods Manager for SARH.

Projects that SARH’s Community Involvement Team has recently supported include developing a successful community allotment initiative in Penkside and setting up a local tool bank for residents in Highfields.

The team also plays a central role in delivering SARH’s extensive Community Learning Programme of free skills and learning sessions across Stafford Borough.

“This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a successful and passionate team that is helping to make a real difference in communities across Stafford borough,” said Lesley Walker.

Those interested in taking on the role can contact SARH’s Organisation Development Team at recruitment@sarh.co.uk or by calling 0800 111 4554.
