SARH to run free children’s football sessions with Stoke City FC
A community project is offering youngsters in Stafford free football coaching during the Easter holidays from Stoke City Football Club.
Stafford and Rural Homes (SARH) has teamed up Stoke City Community Trust to run three sessions for children aged between five and 12-years-old.
“Promoting healthy activity for children is something SARH is passionate about and we are delighted to link up with Stoke City Community Trust to run these sessions which are free and open to all youngsters in the local area,” said Christine Cartwright.
“The sessions will include games and activities to give children the chance to have fun and learn or develop their football skills. You don’t have to be an SARH customer to take part but places are limited so people will need to book quickly.”
The dates, times and venues for the sessions are as follows:
Wednesday, April 3, 10am to 1pm – Silkmore Primary School, Exeter Street, Stafford, ST17 4EG.
Wednesday, April 3, 2pm to 5pm – Sir Graham Balfour School, North Avenue, Stafford, ST16 1NR.
Thursday, April 4, 10am to 1pm – Football Field, Tilling Drive, Stone, ST15 0AA.
The project is part of SARH’s community learning programme, which includes 55 free sessions delivered across Stafford Borough throughout the year to help people into employment, improve health and wellbeing and encourage people to meet others or pick up a new skill or hobby.
