SARH’s friendly face is not your average Joe

FOR Stafford and Rural Homes customers seeking help and advice about their home, Joe Sproston is often the first point of call.

The 29-year-old, from Rising Brook, is a customer services advisor for SARH and helps answer any housing queries customers might have – either on the phone or face-to-face.

Joe has worked for the housing association since 2009 and his efforts have now seen him voted as SARH’s Aspiring for Excellence winner for 2010.

The award asks staff at SARH to put forward fellow workers they feel deserve praise for their commitment and dedication.

“SARH is a great place to work and I love the work I do. The opportunity to speak to customers and help them with any difficulties they might have is hugely rewarding.

“I’m flattered to have been put forward for this award and I would like to thank all my colleagues who nominated me.”

The award was presented by SARH Chairman Kevin Upton at the housing association’s recent AGM held at SARH head office on Staffordshire Technology Park, on Thursday, September 16.

Speaking at the AGM Karen Armitage, Chief Executive of SARH, praised Joe for his work.

“For many people Joe is the friendly face of SARH and he always goes about his work with a smile – even if faced with a difficult task,” she said.

“His enthusiasm makes him extremely popular with customers and colleagues alike and I’m delighted to present him with the Aspiring for Excellence award.”
