School children join Tithe Barn residents for festive fun

PRIMARY school children have enjoyed an afternoon of festive fun with residents at Tithe Barn Court.

A choir from John Wheeldon Primary School sang carols and spent time talking to residents at the Stafford and Rural Homes Independent Living Apartments on Friday, December 7.

“It was great to see two generations coming together and having fun in the run up to Christmas,” said Donna Morgan, SARH scheme manager at Tithe Barn.

“I’d like to thank the children and staff from the school for coming along and I hope the children enjoyed their time with us.”

Residents decorated the scheme with Christmas decorations and handed out presents for the children.

“We were delighted to be invited back to Tithe Barn Court to sing for the residents.  As always, we received a warm welcome, and the children really enjoyed singing and taking some festive cheer out in the community. Hopefully we’ll return next year,” said Annie Lacey, School Business Manager for John Wheeldon Primary School, who helped to organise the event.
