Schoolchildren create harvest boxes for older neighbours

SCHOOLCHILDREN have been looking out for their older neighbours by delivering harvest boxes.

Pupils from Barnfields Primary School collected fruit and vegetables for harvest boxes and donated them to residents in nearby Hall Close, an Independent Living Scheme for over 55s run by Stafford And Rural Homes.

The harvest boxes were delivered on Friday, September 27, by teaching assistant Rob Law.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to all the pupils who showed such generous community spirit and donated healthy, delicious goodies for our residents, it was much appreciated,” said Cath Baseggio, SARH Independent Living Co-ordinator for Hall Close.
